This is the best !!!!

Nice recording of what must have been a wonderful time for all those in attendance! Song selection is epic, jamming is sweet. Good for them to take a break, let Phil and Friends do their thing, (especially nice to see them on occasion in Marin) and Bobby and Ratdog do theirs. It is ever evolving and always changing. Maybe smaller venues, would love to see them come back into the Fillmore in San Francisco, eh...that would be sweet.

But whatever. They are who they are, we are we...I am so happy that I lived during these times...been seeing them since 1975...never stop dancin!!!

Great shows, great recordings, thanks for the uploads. This last nite was legendary in my book. They all played as a unit, as a band, I thought the sound system was just fine, the venue was good, where can you see this band or any band and waiters wander the crowd with trays of beer & drinks!!!

I went to these shows. They were inspired beyond belief. John had free rein to do anything and did. Bobby was not "pulled along" by Phil. Joe beat the hell outta those drums.

Money grab? Why? You didn't make it so it sucked?

Book an all inclusive hotel anywhere in the area and you'd see that the costs were actually in line even if a band was NOT there.

I spoke with most of them over the week. These guys truly love each other.

So they did not go out on YOUR terms. Sorry for your loss. Furthur Forever!

Furthur really showed their true colors by scheduling these 4 "farewell tour" concerts in Mexico. A true "take the money and run" scheme. Fans were herded into an unfinished venue with terrible acoustics to hear musicians who have seemingly grown out-of-love with each other after years of Playing In The Band.

That said, the music over the 4 days was reasonably good to even great at times. There was evidence of some inspired playing on Phil's part, typically dragging Bobby along for the ride. Jeff was as always a wild man and John did a great job when he was allowed to turn it up.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the tapers for setting the music free. You would think that the band would have enabled a Pay-Per-View for fans unable to attend this cash-grab - but for reasons unclear there was no official video or music stream. So it was left to the tapers and streamers who did what they could to share the music.

Just like that, Furthur is "blowin' in the wind"....
